We often do not know what to do when we clean out our wardrobes - hand me down pile, Salvos pile and then there is a pile of items that do not fit either category.. they are too worn, stained, torn to be used again.. this is the RCYCL pile.

Simply fill the RCYCL return satchel when you receive it and head to the local Sendle drop off location near you. Hand your parcel over and this will then be sent straight to our recycling partner to be processed into new yarn and carpet underlay.

SUSTAINABILITY DETAILS

This a certified home compostable, fully biodegradable mailing satchel partly made from plants from our partner, Better Packaging Co.

• Made from completely biodegradable and compostable materials; corn starch, PLA (synthesised from corn) and PBAT (Polybutyrate Adipate Terephthalate).

• This combination of materials is non-toxic and contains no Phthalate or Bisphenol A (BPA).

• Certified free of GMO material.

• While these materials are biodegradable and compostable, they are not 100% renewable as the PBAT component is derived from petroleum-based materials. We are limited at the moment by the availability of suitable, sustainable raw materials that deliver the barrier and performance properties we need but are always testing resins made from an even greater amount of plant-based material – exciting times!

What happens next?

1. Scan the QR code

Scan the QR code on the satchel with your phone camera to check where your closest sendle drop off location is.

2. Find your unwanted clothes

Find items in your closet that you no longer need and/or cannot be donated. These might be damaged shirts or old bedsheets.

3. Pack and send!

Pack all that you can into the bag and seal it. Then simply drop it off at the Sendle drop-off locations and that's it!
